Adriana Abrica is the newest attorney in our office, but has been with our office for the last 10 years. She graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College’s paralegal program in 2015 with dean’s high honors. In 2017, she attended Sonoma State University where she majored in Philosophy and made the dean’s list. She graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy (Pre-Law and Applied Ethics) from Sonoma State in 2018. She then went on to graduate from Empire College School of Law with a Master’s of Legal Studies and a Juris Doctorate. As a law student Adriana received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Criminal Law.
Adriana passed the California State Bar in May 2024. She has worked on criminal defense cases ranging from rape, assault (assisting as co-counsel at trial), and DUI’s as well as handling a wide range of adult cases, expungements, petitions to terminate registry, motions to vacate, and the sealing of arrest records.
Adriana was born and raised in Sonoma County where she currently resides with her children. She is a first generation Mexican American with deep roots in her community. Growing up in a Spanish speaking household, she learned English at the age of 8 and became an early advocate for her parents and four brothers. She embraced the responsibility of interpreting and translating for family meetings, schools meetings, doctor appointments and all other communications.
Adriana’s early experiences marked the inception of what would develop into her strong and unyielding sense of advocacy and leadership.
Adriana is passionate about giving back to the community that raised her and inspired her to be the person she is today. Immigration was her first draw to the legal field and she remains a fierce advocate for immigration reform.
Adriana is fluent in Spanish and English and dabbles in American Sign Language and Italian for fun. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and family. She is an avid reader and loves music. She is also an avid sportsman and enjoys attending football, basketball and baseball games.
